||Theory and Application Study of Springback Prediction Accuracy for QP Steel with Different Material Hardening Models

Springback has been the most difficult problem in application of AHSS. And the most effective measure is using CAE tools to precisely predict springback. Four material models which are generally used in sheet metal forming simulations were selected. Material parameters for QP980 and QP1180 were identified and the prediction accuracy were compared with HAT shape part. Also an auto part A-pillar was used to check the accuracy. The results show that both QP980 and QP1180 have Bauschinger effect and Chaboche, NSK and Y-U model have the ability to describe it. However Y-U model shows the best consistency with test data. Y-U model also shows the highest springback prediction accuracy in the HAT shape part. The calculated springback of Y-U model were also compared with the white light scanned real part, which shows little deviation. Both the HAT part and A-pillar show that Y-U model has a high springback prediction accuracy.
