||Applications of a Stress Invariants-based Yield Criterion to DP980 & QP980 Steels

Modeling of material anisotropic behaviors is crucial for accurate numerical simulation of metal forming processes. The Yld2000-transformation tensor is applied into the stress invariants-based yield criterion developed by Hu et al. to describe sheet metal’s strength differential behavior and yielding direction under associate flow rule. As the tension-compression asymmetric yield stresses of DP980 is not obvious, only one transformation tensor is introduced. To catch the strength differential effect of QP980, two transformation tensors are adopted. In present work, an approach is developed to calculate the parameters of stress invariants-based yield criterion with two transformation tensors for the condition that the number of parameters of stress invariants-based yield criterion is less than the corresponding experimental data. Compared with Yld2000-2d, the accurate and effectiveness of the stress invariants-based yield criterion is verified for DP980 & QP980 steels.
