| Abstract Scope |
Effects of polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) crystallinity and ceramic type on the dielectric properties (dielectric constant (<I>K</I>), dielectric loss (<I>tanδ</I>), temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (<I>TCF</I>) of ANb2O6 (A = Mg,Ni) / PTFE composites were investigated at microwave frequencies. With increasing of ceramic content, the tanδ of the composites was increased. The <I>tanδ</I> of the composites was also affected by the PTFE crystallinity, which was changed from the type and amount of ceramics. The dielectric properties of the composites were dependent on the ceramic content. For the composites with same content of ceramics, the dielectric properties of NiNb2O6 / PTFE composites were larger than those of MgNb2O6 / PTFE composites. Several types of theoretical models have been employed to predict the effective dielectric properties of the composites and the results were compared with those of experimental data. |
