In-situ electrical resistance measurements during linear heating were utilized for detection and further study of phase transitions occurring in the metastable Ti-15Mo alloy. The measurement of solution treated sample showed significant changes in the resistance of the material at 225, 256 and 560 °C, which are connected to ω and α-phase precipitation and dissolution in β-phase matrix. In order to distinguish diffusional and non-diffusional transitions, which occur always at the same temperature, different heating rates were used. The microstructure of samples heated up to temperatures derived from resistance measurements was studied by scanning a transmission electron microscopy.
