||HH-9: Dynamic Recrystallization Behaviour of AlxCoCrFeNi High Entropy Alloys during High Temperature Deformation Process

Structural application needs the materials with better strength and good ductility. Refining the grains through the room temperature deformation and annealing (Static recrystallization) or by hot deformation process (Dynamic recrystallization) which improves the properties with better strength and improved ductility. Microstructural changes occurs during the above Thermo-Mechanical Process controls the combined thermal, mechanical and metallurgical phenomena. Since HEAs having slow diffusion even at high temperature, it needs critical study over the process parameters for the nucleation and growth of recrystallization. In our current study, we report the dynamic recrystallization behaviour of Al0.3CoCrFeNi, Al0.6CoCrFeNi and Al0.9CoCrFeNi HEA during high temperature plane strain compression process. Flow curve and microstructural study from the high temperature deformation process gives the guideline to understand the high temperature deformation and recrystallization behaviour of HEAs.
