||Effect of SPD Processing Combined with Ultrasound on Structure Transformation in a Low-alloyed Chromium Bronze

In this work we study the effect of severe plastic deformation via compression, combined with ultrasound and without ultrasound, on the structure transformation in a low-alloyed bronze.
It is shown that the application of ultrasound leads to an increase in the fraction of high-angle grain boundaries, as well as changes in the mechanical texture. The obtained results indicate that the application of ultrasound during SPD processing has a positive effect for the intensification of grain-type structure formation, while reducing the material's flow stresses, which promotes an increase in the efficiency of such SPD processes as multiple forging (multiaxial forging, rotary forging).
