||Austenite/Ferrite Cooperative Deformation–induced Ultra-High Product of Strength and Elongation in Intercritical Warm Rolled Light Medium-Mn Steel

In the present study, light medium-Mn steel warm rolled in the temperature range of Ac1-Ac3 was tensile tested at room temperature, and its mechanical properties and microstructure evolution were explored. Tensile strength of the steel approached 1300 MPa with excellent total elongation of 62.5%. The product of strength and elongation was high at 81.25GPa%, which exceeded all the steels reported so far. It was apparent that no lattice distortion occurred during TRIP effect. Furthermore, austenite and ferrite cooperative deformation contributed to the superior excellent ductility.
