Abstract Scope |
Stereolithography is disrupting the way we fabricate tiny objects. It is based on the solidification of polymer (resin) in response to UV radiation. Despite being there for a long time, we relied on a theoretical understanding of light-resin interaction. Observations will reveal how the photopolymerization process takes place at a micron scale and help appreciate the overall process better. Currently, we are faced with some challenges like the non-linear and dynamic nature of the process, the small refractive index gradient between the polymerized and un-polymerized part, and the minuscule size of the part under consideration. This research aims at developing a smart non-invasive observation system to study the process in real-time |
