This study consists of the quantitative and qualitative assessment of corrosion in different environments with different paint schemes. 36 specimens were exposed to the weathering test according to NBR 6209 and distributed in different cities; Santos coastal city; Guararema, a city in the interior of São Paulo, and finally the neighborhood of Itaquera on the eastern edge of the state capital The samples that presented the highest performance when the samples were coated with epoxy paint applied electrostatically, followed by the samples coated with liquid paint. The samples that offered the least resistance to corrosion were the samples coated with a layer of spray (aerosol), which is commonly used in the industry for retouches on structures and equipment after assembly, or end of process.
