In order to reduce copper residue in slag, aiming at the dilution process of the existing electric furnace, a 1:20 water model was established according to the similarity principle, the electrical properties in different positions of the electric furnace were measured with probe method and the impacts of bath depths, electrode immersion depths, solution concentrations and electrode distances on electrical properties distribution were investigated. The results indicated that with the growth of bath depth and electrode immersion depth and the decrease of electrode distance, ΔU potential line shifted to the interior of furnace gradually, while the solution concentration had no influence on it. With the growth of electrode immersion and the decrease of bath depth and electrode distance, the low power area in bath reduced gradually, and the growth of solution concentration had a significant impact on furnace power improvement. The results provided theoretical basis for industrial production and operation.
