**Abstract Scope** |
Traditionally rate equations have been used to inform the defect concentrations of Crystal Plasticity models. However, Kinetic Monte Carlo simulations offer an alternative method with fewer approximations and more details concerning complex defect structure formation. Sensitivity analysis has been performed on both rate equations and kMC models of varying complexity used to inform crystal plasticity models. In order to examine a potentially large number of input parameters while minimizing the variance of the sensitivity results Morris’ One at a Time (MOAT) sensitivity method was chosen. |
