||Effect of Calculation Method of CaO Addition on Liquid Phase Fluidity

The detection method has a problem that fluidity characteristic of the low silica (w(SiO2)<3%) and high silica (w(SiO2)>7%)) iron ores were different from sintering actual production, a new improved method based on n(Fe2O3)/n(CaO) was proposed to add CaO. The difference between them for the detection of liquid phase fluidity were studied. The results show that when the R value method is used to detect the liquid phase fluidity, due to the content of SiO2 increased from 2.12% to 11.68%, the amount of CaO addition augmented from 7.88wt% to 32.65wt% and the corresponding fluidity index changed from 0 to 5.68. And them has a linear positive correlation with the SiO2 content of iron ore. While the improved method could significantly reduce the effect of the change of CaO addition which caused by the difference of SiO2 content on the fluidity characteristic of iron ore.
