Creep feed grinding can improve the efficiency of material removal with lower feeding speed and larger cutting depth. Temperature of the grinding zone can reach as high as phase transformation point. The dynamic mechanical property of the material in grinding process is effected by the high temperature and high strain rate. In this paper, a new temperature measuring system was developed using infrared ray, which can get a higher precision and stability than thermocouple. Phase-based constitutive equation was proposed to describe the dynamic mechanical property under a large range of the elevated temperature and high strain rate. The phase-based constitutive equation can be validated by the experimental results well. At laset, mapping relationship between single grain cutting and grinding process was established. Convolution of temperature and vector sum of force were both modeled and discussed.
