||The Research and Development of Low Cost 21.4mm/22mm X80 Hot Rolled Strip Based on Austenite Grain Condition Optimizating

The research and development of 21.4mm/22mm X80 hot rolled strip in shougang is introduced under industrial conditions. This X80 strip with extreme large thickness has good low temperature thoughness, after pipe making, its DBTT of DWTT is below -30℃. Meanwhile, high microalloy content addition is not adopted to improve low temperature toughness, so the cost is acceptable, and this product of 21.4mm X80 will be applied in the China-Russia East Route natural gas pipeline project. The production of 21.4mm/22mm X80 strip in Shougang focuses on the austenite grain condition optimizating. Based on the complex interaction of precipitation pinning, recrystation and soulte dragging, proper rough rolling process is designed to refine austenite grain homogeneous as much as possbile, as well, finsih rolling process is designed to flatten the austenite grain fully. Moreover, superfast cooling is adopted to inhibit phase transformation in high temperature and refine effective grain size.
