||LL-74: Interface Reaction between Y2O3 Doped BaZrO3 and TiNi Melt

The Y2O3-BaO-ZrO2 composite refractory was prepared by using BaCO3, ZrO2 and Y2O3 (4mol%) in solid reaction method at 1400℃ for 12h and was analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD). In order to choose the appropriate sintering temperature, the powder was shaped into pelletes by cold isostatic pressing at 120MPa for 3min and sintered at 1550℃, 1650℃, 1750℃ for 6h. Then the crucible we need was fabricated by the cold isostatic pressing and sintered at the appropriate sintering temperature. The interface reaction between the crucible and TiNi melt was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results showed that Ba2ZrO3 and Ba2YZrO6 was synthesized after solid reaction method; There was no obvious interaction layer and element diffusion between the crucible and the metal. This implies that Y2O3-BaO-ZrO2 composite material is a promising candidate of refractory for melting the TiNi alloy.
