Presentation Title Etched Surface of CVTD Single Crystal Tungsten Coating after Serving under High Temperature

Abstract Scope Microstructure of Chemical Vapor Transport Deposition single crystal tungsten coating working at 1600℃ for 1000 h was investigated using optical microscopy method in combination with electron backscatter diffraction technique. The experimental results show that the etching morphology of single crystal tungsten coating is not clear compared with that before working. The electro-etched surface of single crystal tungsten coating is mainly consist of {110} crystal plane and {112} crystal plane before working. However, it is mainly consist of near {110} crystal plane and near {112} crystal plane instead after working. In addition, some small grains have been observed on the surface of single crystal tungsten coating. Some grains have grown throughout the whole thickness of the coating. Some grains have grown from the surface of the tungsten coating and not throughout the whole thickness of the coating. Some subgrains whose edges were not clear were also observed
