| Abstract Scope |
The tensile behavior of several types of uni-directional and bi-directional polyurethane composites subjected to strain rates up to 0.02 -100 in./min is studied. For glass/polyurethane composites and carbon/polyurethane composites, tensile strength and strain increases upto 2-3 times relative to standard loading, while elastic modulus is independent of strain rate. |
