Abstract Scope |
The demand for high-efficiency heat-to-electricity conversion has been one of the major driving forces toward renewable energy harvesting for the future. Low dimensional materials open new routes to a high power factor due to their unique density of states of confined electrons and holes. Among them, two-dimensional (2D) transition metal dichalcogenide (TMDC) materials exhibit high thermoelectric power factor. Understanding of fundamental thermoelectric property and the related tuning mechanism is expected to lay foundation for widespread of these devices with controllable energy harvesting. This presentation will focus on the background, current technologies, and Dr. Zhang’s work in 2D thermoelectric devices. |
