In this paper, the viscosity of 12 samples of CaO-SiO2-FeO-MgO-MnO-Cr2O3 slag system used in BOF were measured at 1500℃. The viscosity of the experimental slags at 1500℃were calculated by using five models,Urbain,Pal,NPL,Ribound and Iida models.Compared with the measured viscosity,Iida model had a good consistency with the measured viscosity.Using Factsage software and Einstein-Roscoe equation in Iida model to modify the calculated results, the viscosity of Iida model were corrected, and the average error of the 12 samples was only 21.41%. It showed that the modified Iida model can be used to calculate the viscosity of CaO-SiO2-FeO-MgO-MnO-Cr2O3 slag system in BOF. The effects of Cr2O3, FeO and basicity on the slag viscosity were analyzed by using the modified Iida model.The results showed that Cr2O3 and basicity had a great influence on the viscosity, while FeO had little effect.
