The influence of the reduction temperature, the reduction time, the carbon ratio and the amount of the rubber powder in the reducing agent on the reduction process of the carbon pellets were studied systematically under the laboratory condition with the powder and the anthracite as the reducing agent. And determine the appropriate reduction conditions for the temperature of 1473K, reduction time in 15min, with carbon than 0.8, powder into the amount of 30 mass%, under this condition, the reduction rate is above 89% and the residual carbon is below 0.13 mass%. For the use of waste rubber to prepare direct reduction of iron to provide a reference.
