Abstract Scope |
Rolling is a process that can be performed in hot or cold configurations. Due to the processing of new metal alloys and its high operating speed and, the rolling process is responsible for about 90% of the products processed and used in the industry. The objective of this work is to compare the enlargement deformation and hot rolling strength of SAE 1020, AISI 4140 and DIN 22MnB5 steel processed in a duo rolling mill, and to compare the values obtained in na analytical, experimental and simulational manner, as well as to describe the main characteristics of the process. Rolling experiments were performed with reductions of 13, 17 and 21% in height, which were used to assemble the numerical model and its values compared with different analytical methods to determine the process characteristics. |
