Abstract Scope With the development of electronics and the withdrawal of complex electronic devices to the level of household appliances, the disposal of complex metal waste containing valuable components becomes an urgent problem. The method developed at the Kazakh-British Technical University for the simultaneous production of a leaching agent and the extraction of metals from raw materials into a solution makes it possible to significantly improve the efficiency of the leaching of metals from such raw materials. We carried out research on the extraction of metals from brass (chemical composition,%: Cu - 58.65, Zn - 39.79, Pb - 1.34, Cr - 0.06, Ni- 0.05, Nb - 0.11) at Electrochemical leaching using a sulfurgraphite electrode. The specific dissolution rate of copper during the leaching of brass was slightly higher than 40 ∙ 10-11, mol / m2 ∙ s. The principal possibility of using this method for processing complex metal scrap is shown.
