||Investigation of the Ionic Conductivity of c-ZrO2 by Applying the CALPHAD Approach

One of the most important applications of c-ZrO2 is in the fuel cells since the ionic conductivity of this polymorph of YSZ is high and this characteristic is of great importance for electrolytes in the fuel cells. In this study, we want to apply the CALPHAD approach to calculate the oxygen vacancy concentration in different conditions and plot the ionic conductivity of c-ZrO2 in a wide range of temperature and composition. We also calculate the ionic conductivity changes against different oxygen partial pressures. Therefore, series of valuable information about the ionic conductivity of c-ZrO2 will be prepared by which designing electrolytes for SOFCs will be easier and more accurate.
